Fjallabak

Fjallabak Nature Reserve National Park, located in the Highlands of Iceland, was established in 1979. The Nature Reserve is approximately 47.000 hectares in size and is more than 500 meters above sea level. The land is mountainous, sculptured by volcanoes and geothermal activity, covered by lavas, sands, rivers and lakes. The color palette is broad, mostly due to rhyolite and obsidian in the mountains.
