Hop on a snowmobile ride for an unforgettable afternoon zooming on the snowy slopes. You’ll be talking about your adventure on Iceland’s second-largest glacier for years to come! Welcome to the wintry world of glaciers in Iceland!

We’ll drive up towards Langjökull Glacier in a specialized Super-Jeep. It is an exciting experience in itself. After arriving at our glacier base camp, you will be provided with a snowmobile suit, gloves, balaclava and helmet for your snowmobile ride.

Your professional glacier snowmobiling guide will then show you how to safely operate a snowmobile before your one-hour excursion officially starts.

Langjökull Glacier is home to several enormous ice-filled volcanic craters, rimmed in by imposing volcanoes and set in the breathtaking Icelandic interior.

The views from the flanks of Langjökull are quite incredible. In the distance rests Eiríksjökull glacier, the highest mountain in west Iceland, the dome-shaped Hofsjökull glacier, and Kerlingafjöll Mountain range.

Additional Information

All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid driver's license. According to Icelandic law, a learner's permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient. Single riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single-ride snowmobile.

Meeting points

Meeting Point is at Skjól Campsite, Bláskógabyggð 801, IS. The tour starts at Skjól where the group is picked up and driven to our basecamp at Langjökull. At Basecamp we get ready for the sledges and drive off on the snowmobiles to Langjökull.

A valid drivers license is required to operate a snowmobile.
Standard price includes a snowmobile ride sharing a two-person snowmobile. If you are solo traveller / rider you must upgrade before the tour to a solo snowmobile.
Jeans and sneakers are not recommended, good sturdy shoes are vital. Lunch and snacks can be bought during tour but are not included.
Duration is 4 hours.

100% free cancellation if the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the experience.
