Overview

The tour starts from our base, Brú base by Road 249. After a short briefing where your guide takes you through safety procedures, we dress up in a waterproof snow/whole suit and helmet and hop into our buggy ride.
Þórsmörk is an incredibly beautiful nature reserve, situated in the heart of south Iceland nestled among the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, and Tindfjallajökull.
This is the perfect tour to explore the wonders of Þórsmörk while experiencing an adventurous buggy ride adventure.
We will also visit Gígjökull glacier where we observe the effects of the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption and breathe in the purifying glacial air.
Þórsmörk is a spectacular place to visit, it has its own kind of feel to it. It is Icelandic nature to the core.

Please note: All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid international driver’s license. According to Icelandic law, a learner´s permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient.
The standard price includes a two-person shared ride. The shared ride is priced per person. Each Buggy can take 1-2 people at a time. Single riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single ride. If you are solo traveller/rider you must upgrade before the tour to solo. If you book ‘shared rides’ only and bookings are in odd numbers you will need to buy one single ride, be sure to book this correctly in the booking process below. If this is not booked correctly, we will charge the extra fee on location.
Meeting points
The meeting point is Brú Base Camp, road 249. Drive 5 km after passing Seljalandsfoss waterfall on road 249. You can find us on Google Maps under Southcoast Adventure (Hella). You will see our cars immediately in front of the building.
