DAY 1: DEPARTURE – HIGHLAND ADVENTURE
We kick off our adventure in the morning, departing from our base and heading straight into the highlands. Upon arrival, our expert guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on buggy operation and safety procedures before we embark on our off-road adventure.
Get ready to navigate through rugged terrains and explore stunning landscapes, filled with natural wonders and scenic vistas. As we traverse through the highlands, you will have plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of the surroundings and capture some incredible photos.
After an exciting day of driving, we will arrive at our highland camp where you will settle into a cozy, geothermally heated hut. Here, you can relax and unwind while our guide prepares a delicious traditional BBQ dinner. Enjoy a hearty meal and the company of fellow adventurers before retiring for the night in the tranquil highland environment.
DAY 2: CONTINUED EXPLORATION – RETURN
Awaken to the fresh highland air and enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared by your guide. Our adventure continues as we set out for another day of thrilling buggy driving through the Fjallabak Nature Reserve. This vast and picturesque reserve, established in 1979, spans 47,000 hectares and is a haven of volcanic formations, lava fields, rivers, and lakes.
As we journey through this diverse landscape, you will be mesmerized by the unique geology and the pristine beauty of the highlands. Our guide will lead us to hidden gems and lesser-known spots, ensuring a truly immersive experience.
After a full day of exploration and adventure, we will head back to our pick-up point. Expect to arrive back at our base in the evening, concluding an unforgettable 2-day buggy tour that leaves you with memories to cherish forever. Join us on this adventure and discover the true essence of the highlands in a thrilling and unique way!
Additional Information
Please note: All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid international driver’s license. According to Icelandic law, a learner´s permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient.
The standard price includes a two-person shared ride. The shared ride is priced per person. Each Buggy can take 1-2 people at a time. Single riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single ride. If you are solo traveller/rider you must upgrade before the tour to solo. If you book ‘shared rides’ only and bookings are in odd numbers you will need to buy one single ride, be sure to book this correctly in the booking process below. If this is not booked correctly, we will charge the extra fee on location.

Cancellation policy
- Cancellations with more than 42 days notice before departure of the trip will receive an 80% refund on multi-day tours. 20% is non-refundable since arrangements have already been made for you on the trip.
- Cancellations with less than 42 days notice before departure of the trip will receive a 50% refund. 50% is non-refundable since arrangements have already been made for you on the trip.
- Cancellations with less than 72 hrs notice are non-refundable.
- In case of a no-show on any of our trips, refunds will not be made.
- All cancellation fees are only intended to cover our direct cost of cancelling your tour.
- All complaints must reach Southcoast Adventure within 5 days from the completion of your tour. Otherwise, possible compensation is not valid.
